Bishop Charles E. Blake Voted COGIC Presiding Bishop by Landslide!!!




BISHOP CHARLES E. BLAKE - WINS COGIC ELECTION BY A LANDSLIDE!!!



Congratulations to Bishop Charles E. Blake who was voted by his denomination the Church of God In Christ as their new presiding bishop. In this the 100th year of the organizations existence in ministry, the church held an election this month during it’s 100th Holy Convocation which convenes annually in the city of Memphis, Tennessee. This was a celebration like no other and over 50,000 saints were in attendance as the church reflected on the past and recoginzed the present, and projected and embraced the future. Earlier this year the church’s then prelate Bishop Gilber Earl Patterson past away, and Bishop Charles Blake who was the 1st Administrative assistant became the presiding Bishop by proxy. However, after this weeks election it became official as Bishop Charles Blake won the election by a landslide of votes. The Exact count after the votes were tallied was Bishop Winbush 37 votes, Bishop Haynes 241 votes and Bishop Charles Blake, 2986 votes.
